Naturopathy

Naturopathy is a compilation of a wide variety of natural therapeutics and healing techniques. This natural method of healing is based on the premise that the body contains the innate wisdom and power to heal itself, providing that we enhance rather than hinder that process, and, in addition, that treating the whole person is more desirable than simply alleviating the symptoms of disease.

Hippocrates said, “Let your food be your medicine and your medicine be your food and do no harm.” The naturopathic physician or N.D. subscribes to these principles and views herself/himself as a teacher who educates the patient in the art of self-healing. The Naturopathic physician utilizes such therapies as non-invasive allergy testing, herbology, acupressure, acupuncture, and iridology.
